Fireworks Pictures

Using my new digital SLR camera, Nikon D60, I tried to take some photos of the fireworks show. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turned out to be that great and I realized that I need to learn a bit more about the camera and photography, especially things fireworks. It seems like a good, stable tripod and remote click are a requirement for good shot. Most of mine had lot of smoke and almost no trails of fire.
